Keep rolling

The key to the final Ironman build is lots of recovery between sessions. NAPS ARE ESSENTIAL! A cold front came in this week making naps under many quilts a must. Igby our super dog found himself under the quilts as well.

Typical Wednesday morning before I head to Univ of Texas to massage the track team: A recovery "jog" (let me tell you- it is typically a jog shuffle after my Tuesday sessions) and hard open water swim at the Pure Austin Quarry. It is a 750 meter loop with 5 main bouys. Open water swimming- practicing starts, turns and pacing leads to better race day swims.



Coach Tbear sent my schedule last week through Ironman Cozumel and look what is coming up- VACATION! Zane and I will be spending 3.5 days on the beach relaxing before we come home and get the Univ of Texas volleyball team on the ramp up to NCAA Final Four in San Antonio, Texas- Dec 15/17th. December is going to be a fun month!


Halloween- Igby decided to dress up as a Pro LUNA Chix Team member. Though as you can see he wants to be a mountain biker vs Triathlete. TRADER!
