Jeremiah 29:10-14
... I will visit you and fulfill My good word to you, to bring you back to this place. For I know the plans that I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the Lord, and I will restore your fortunes and will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, declares the Lord, and I will bring you back to the place from where I sent you into exile.
I have come to my computer numerous times in the past week to put together my report on Cozumel and my end of 2011 review. And I just stare at the screen. My desire is to share with you all that was 2011. Of course I should of blogged more effectively along the way so you'd have a better understanding to the depths of my heart, how I am on my knees in gratitude for the road less traveled, the adversity faced, and the goals achieved.
There may not be an Ironman victory under my belt this year, or even a top 3 podium. But this year had so much personal victory and growth, which in the end is more fruitful long term.
This year had restoration as God promises us- of my marriage and my sport. God sometimes has to pull up the roots/tear down road blocks so that He can plant and build out of the ruble that lays before us. He promises to follow us through the wilderness , through a land not sown, to the great harvest He created for us.
I am grateful for this year, 2011. I desire to enjoy the fruitful land that God promises us. God has thought CAREFULLY over my life (KJV of Jer 29:11) and has woven it together for His great purpose.
As 2012 approaches, I pray that I can be more courageous, more bold, and more focused on HIS plan.
